How to reach Sevilla
Sevilla has an international airport [San Pablo] with good connections to the main cities in Europe and is also connected by high speed rail to Madrid via the San Just train station.
Airport
The airport of Sevilla is called San Pablo (code: SVQ) is located approximately 10km from the city centre. There are buses to the centre of town or you can take a taxi.
If you take a taxi, be aware that there is a fixed tariff (around Euro 20 depending on day and time of travel) from and to the airport so the driver will not switch on the meter.
Bus and metro
Sevilla has been busy for years constructing a metro (ask the average Sevillano what (s)he thinks about the slow progress to have an excellent start to a conversation) but fortunately the bus system is very cheap and works very well.
The city centre of Sevilla has been recently pedestranized makes the experience of exploring the city on foot a lot more enjoyable. |
