TAMARINDO BEACH
Tamarindo - Area
Tamarindo Beach is located in the North West of Costa Rica, in the provence of Guanacaste. The village has around 6000 people which ensures you can find everything for a comfortable stay.
A short distance from Tamarindo beach you will find natural park reserves where you can find an incredible variety of flora and fauna. Between October and March, you may find yourself on a turtle spotitng expedition at Playa Grande where large leatherback turtles famously gather every year to lay their eggs.
The surf is one of the best on the Pacific Coast and the climate is probably the most attractive in Costa Rica since rainfall is the lowest here (in case you wonder where the name rain forest comes from...) during the year.
The dry season runs here from November till May and the rainy season from May till the end of November but with a typical sunny break from the middle of July until late August (this dry spell is called "el veranillo de San Juan" or "the little Summer of San Juan").
Tamarindo – Campus
Our school in Tamarindo is set in the rainforest of Tamarindo, just minutes away from the beach and the city. The school has a central building with class rooms around which a number of open air "ranchos" are set where classes are held when the weather allows (which is often!).There is plenty of space to organise our activities here and you will find the school one of the most comfortable settings to help you enjoy your Spanish course in Tamarindo.
