San José: Gateway to Costa Rica
Our Spanish school in San José offers you one of the best gateways to explore this wonderful country in Central America.
San José (500.000 inhabitants) is located in the heart of the country in the central valley plateau. As the largest and capital city of the country, you'll find it very easy to find plenty of entertainment, culture and night life at your finger tips.
What makes this a great destination is that you can really explore the country from here. All busses pass through San José and local airlines (with a good safety record) connect the airport with the more remote parts of Costa Rica.
Our school itself is located in charming Santo Domingo, just 4 km outside of the centre. The centre is surrounded by a tropical garden with palm trees and exotic plants and has 15 large classrooms all with exterior light to provide you with a very pleasant learning environment.
The school offers a large variety of activities on a regular basis such as cooking classes, fiestas, dancing classes, city tours, movie nights, museum visits and lectures.
One special characteristic of our language institute is that we offer free tutoring twice per week covering topics such as grammar and pronunciation.
We provide tea, coffee and water free of charge and there's a small shop nearby the school that sells drinks and snacks for a reasonable price.
Classes are held in the morning from 08:30 until 13:00 (with a break from 10:30 till 11:00) and students who choose the Super-Intensive course will also have classes in the afternoon between 14:00 and 16:00.
Unlike our other schools in Costa Rica, we're able to offer a wide variety of accommodation in San José including family stay, shared flat (single and double room) and private apartment.
