What Terms and Conditions apply?

- Babylon Idiomas S.L. (''the company'') organises Spanish language courses in Spain and Latin America. Where the company is represented by agents, travel agencies or other parties (''agents''), the company is not liable for any damage or compensation resulting from any agreement or information exchange between the client and these agents. Instead, recourse should be sought with these agents directly by clients in case of disagreement or damages.
- These Terms & Conditions apply from the moment the client has submitted his or her enrolment or has provided the company with personal and payment details.
- CLIENT DOCUMENTS AND INSURANCE: The client is fully responsible for adequate travel documents, travel insurance and medical insurance. Any non-compliance and any resulting damages are the sole responsibility of the client.
- COMPANY LIABILITY: The company assumes no responsibility for accidents, theft or injuries during the client's stay with the company.
- PROGRAM AND PRICE CHANGES: The company may change courses, timetables and prices at its discretion without notification. The client is entitled to a refund of tuition fees for those courses that the company is not able to offer.
- HOLIDAYS: National and local holidays are not replaced with classes. Instead, an alternative activity is offered. When two holidays fall in the same week, classes will be held on one of the two days.
- MINIMUM AGE: The minimum age for attending Babylon Idiomas is 18 years. Dispensation can be granted for younger clients from time to time.
- PAYMENT: If a clients books more than 28 days in advance, a minimum 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remainder needs to be paid no later than the first school day. Immediate payment in full is required for clients booking less than 28 days before the desired start date. The client will have no access to class before payment in full has been received.
- CHANGE OF START DATE: Clients can change the start date of the course, subject to availability, provided they do so 28 days before the start of the originally booked course. A handling charge of €40 applies.
- CANCELLATION:
- Clients can cancel enrolments within 7 working days from the enrolment date provided the course has not started. A cancellation fee of €40 applies.
- Courses and accommodation cannot be cancelled neither wholly nor partially from the original start date onwards.
- Clients cancelling more than 4 weeks before the start of their course owe the company 25% of the tuition and accommodation fees plus any applicable enrolment and placement fees.
- Clients cancelling more than 1 week but less than 4 weeks before the start of their course owe the company 50% of the tuition and accommodation fees plus any applicable enrolment and placement fees.
- Clients cancelling more within less than 1 week before the start of their course owe the company 75% of the tuition and accommodation fees plus any applicable enrolment and placement fees.
- A separate cancellation insurance can be taken out with the company which refunds the deposit of tuition and accommodation fees [but not of enrolment, placement and insurance fees] provided the cancellation has been made in writing [fax or email] and received during working hours no less than 72 hours before commencement of the course or accommodation arrangement whichever is earliest.
- CODE OF CONDUCT: Clients are expected to attend classes, inform the school in case of absence and respect fellow students, teachers and staff. In case the company has provided for accommodation, clients are equally expected to be responsible tenants. The company reserves the right to expel students from the program and/or accommodation at its sole discretion if it finds clients in breach of its basic code of conduct.
- COURT OF LAW: The law of Spain shall apply to his agreement.
