Babylon Idiomas Newsletter

Hola Babylonian,

Want to learn Spanish but you don't know where? In this newsletter you'll find a quick guide to the four different destinations we offer in Spain: Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia.

Each city has its own attractions and a different feel to it. You may very well be at home more in one than the other and we're here to help you make a choice.

Enjoy the summer: we look forward to welcoming you to one of our schools soon!

Where o Where?

A quick guide to four amazing places Map of Spain

Sevilla: It's impossible not to be impressed with Sevilla, you can almost smell the wealth that was brought here from South America when Spain ruled the waves. Add to this the influence of the gypsies who brought passion and dance to this part of the world and you have a beautiful cocktail that will take your breath away. Learn more about Sevilla.

Madrid: Capital city of Spain and of the Latin world with all the attractions that come with it. It's big, it's beautiful and filled with people from all parts of the country and Latin America. More than palaces and impressive museums, Madrid is filled with the most precious good on earth: life! Learn more about Madrid

Barcelona: One of the most popular destinations to learn Spanish and it's not too difficult to see why: sea, sand, nightlife, art, history and architecture all wrapped in one neat package. It's funky, filled with energy and no one ever gets bored in this cosmopolitan jewel. Learn more about Barcelona.

Valencia: Spain's best kept secret is so attractive because it is not overrun by tourists but boasts one of the most beautiful inner cities with stunning beaches and the place where "old" Spain meets "cutting edge" Spain. You'll see, you'll fall in love to as many have done before you! Learn more about Valencia.

America's Cup: We won!

Valencia will host the America's Cup in 2009 Celebration of America's Cup 2007

At Babylon Idiomas, all our teachers are Spanish natives but in our support team, we have a lot of different nationalities. Those who come from New Zealand (and are affectionately known as "Kiwis") have had a bit of a rough time early July when the Swiss boat Alinghi beat Team New Zealand 5-2 to win the America's Cup.

The excellent news however is that the Swiss team has once again chosen Valencia as the host for the next America's Cup which will be held in 2009.

Valencia also won the rights from 2008 onwards to organise a Formula 1 race every year so the city will be even more in the international spotlight than before

One immediate effect of this higher city profile has been that more airlines than ever before are offering direct flights to Valencia from almost every European country.

It truly is an amazing place to learn Spanish and feel the vibe of a city that never sleeps :)

Spotlight on: Long Term Spanish Courses

Learn more Spanish...for less

The academic program of Babylon Idiomas is set up in such a way that you can choose the length of your course between 1 and 36 weeks.

If you are an absolute beginner and wish to reach an advanced level of Spanish, we recommend you study at least 12 weeks to get to grips with all the basics and build a decent vocabulary. You can expect to study up to 24 weeks to achieve a superior level of Spanish and you need up to 36 weeks to cover the complete academic program.

If you require a break during your course for personal or holiday reasons, you do not loose any weeks provided you've informed your school in advance. Approximately 40% of our students study for 12 weeks or more and to help you with your budget, we offer a 15% discount for 12+ weeks bookings and 20% for 20+ weeks bookings. Now that's what we call: "learn more...for less!"

Madrid Madness: 20% discount!

Save 20% on your Spanish course in Madrid Madrid Students
