What are DELE exams?
 What it is. DELE stands for Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera. DELE exams are organised by Instituto Cervantes which is a Spanish government institute that promotes the Spanish language at home and abroad.
There are three different exams corresponding to different levels: Inicial, Intermedio and Superior.
The exam has both a written as well as an oral part to assess your Spanish language skills.
When it takes place. The exams are held three times per year in Spain and the dates for 2006 in Spain are 12th of May, 25th of August and 24th of November.
Where is takes place. Each major city in Spain has an examination centre for the DELE exams. One of our teachers will accompany you to the centre so you can focus on your Spanish, not on finding your way!
Which exam to take. Every student is different but you should count on approximately 8 weeks of a regular intensive course for each level i.e. you should have the Inicial level after 8 weeks of study, the Intermedio level after 16 weeks of study and the Superior after 24 of study.
 How to prepare. Babylon Idiomas organizes DELE preparation courses for the Intermedio and Superior level. The course will help you fine-tune your grammar skills as well as test your examination skills to be 100% prepared for the big day. The course lasts 3 weeks and you will have 20 hours of classes each week in a group of no more than 8 students.
What it costs. The investment in a DELE preparation courses in 2006 will be Euro 590. Please note that this excludes the examination fees which are approximately Euro 135 depending on where you take the exam.
